WAEC Temporarily Withdraws 2025 WASSCE Results Over Technical Glitch

WAEC has announced the temporary withdrawal of the 2025 WASSCE results for school candidates due to technical issues discovered after release.

According to the Council, the problem arose from a new security measure—paper serialization—introduced in subjects like Mathematics, English Language, Biology, and Economics to curb exam malpractice. During a routine post-release review, some technical bugs were identified in the results.

As a result:

• Access to the results has been suspended on the result checker portal.
• Candidates who already checked their results are advised to recheck after 24 hours.
• WAEC has apologised for the inconvenience and promised a quick resolution.

The Council assures candidates and the public that the issue is being handled with urgency and transparency.
